About Me
I'm a UX Researcher & Designer.
I love knowing the "why" of everything.
I graduated from Duke University with a BA in Cognitive Psychology, Columbia University with a BS in Accelerated Nursing, and NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering with a MS in Integrated Design & Media (May 2021). I integrate this interest and understanding of perception, attention, memory, and decision-making with an agile yet thorough design process to assess product and user needs. My experience spans from contracts to full-time employment, improving what exists and spearheading the entirely new.
I am conscientious, empathetic, and methodical when pursuing the motivations and mental models of a user. I strive for clarity, communication, and delight in everything I produce. Along with a passion for aesthetics, I strive to create evidence-based, user-centered experiences. My background amplifies a research and data-oriented process as I aim for mutually rewarding, intuitive, and beautiful design.
My Process
Discovery
insight into users, the competitive landscape & product requirements.
I employ a variety of research methodology in order to assess the gaps in knowledge for building the product. Research spans internal concerns from stakeholder interviews and agile product prioritization to external analyses, such as competitive & comparative analyses, feature analyses, information architecture heuristic analyses, UI assessments, screeners, surveys & user interviews.
Design
Pursuing the mental models of users while guiding a beautiful & intuitive experience.
Creating wireframes that solve problems, organizing the information architecture in ways that optimize function and delight, is a highlight of my process. I take care to cover every user flow, every edge case, and every persona possibility, delivering polished and seamlessly prototyped designs. Whether working in design studios with a team, or contracting alone, I strive to center the user.
Testing
Prototype, test, measure, implement learnings. Rinse & repeat.
User testing is an iterative process of taking the product hypothesis and prototype design, setting up an experiment to guide or observe users, and analyzing or measuring the resulting behavior. Insight varies from the more subjective user interviews to the more objective data from A/B or multivariate experiments set up by dividing traffic with an engineer. I provide detailed reporting of targeted KPIs, conversions rates, and user patterns & preferences to end up with the best evidence-based design.
